Leading semiconductor producer Nvidia is anticipated to be one of the principal chip providers for AI PCs by 2025, with a new system on a chip (SoC) designed to be incorporated into a Lenovo notebook, potentially revealed by mid-year.

The firm’s initial entry into the CPU sector was with Project Digits, a desktop computer that operates ChatGPT on-site. However, broader consumer market opportunities might be on the horizon for them soon.

In the course of data mining, Walking Cat unearthed information that suggests Lenovo might utilize an Nvidia chip with a refreshed naming convention for its Yoga 2-in-1 16 2025 laptop models. The leak showed the Nvidia N1x chip connected with the device and Lenovo’s job listings. Additionally, Hoang Anh Phu supported this assertion, describing that the chip is constructed on the Blackwell architecture and could be revealed during Computex 2025, anticipated to occur around late May.

As per Videocardz, Lenovo might derive the N naming format from the combination of initial letters of each of its partner components into its label sequence. This means a Yoga product with AMD inside becomes Yoga a, Intel becomes Yoga i, and Qualcomm is Yoga q. Thus, a Yoga with Nvidia might be labeled Yoga n.

Lenovo employs such a “platform code” system to signify the CPU, like A?? for AMD, I?? for Intel, Q?? for Qualcomm, but Yoga 2in1 16 2025 has this peculiar platform code “N1X”, what might it be? 🥸 https://t.co/AvYchIelVG pic.twitter.com/tU09V4p1lV

Moreover, Phu indicated that different chip levels might exist, with N1x being high-end and N1 midrange. They further noted that the Blackwell Architecture is expected to offer between 180 and 200 tera operations per second (TOPS) of neural processing unit (NPU) power, quadruple the strength of the current leading chips. Nvidia also plans to collaborate with MediaTek and employ TSMC’s 3nm process for the SoC’s creation.

However, despite the leaked details, Videocardz mentioned that Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang indicated in a Q&A session during CES that there was no disclosure on launch timelines.
