Prominent firms such as Tesla, Amazon, Google, TikTok, Snap, and Microsoft implemented significant layoffs in 2024, while several small startups also faced staff reductions and, in certain instances, halted operations entirely.
We’re continuing our monitoring of tech industry layoffs into 2025 to track the trend of these cutbacks. Later this year, we will separate our 2024 and 2025 lists to make the patterns easier to understand.
